MISSION BRIEFING

Background
Hill 40 (or 'The Graveyard' as the troops are calling it) is the only high point for several miles on this sector of the front.  Over the last week ownership of the hill has changed several times as both sides have endeavoured to take and hold onto the summit, but without success.

Commander Briefing
Your mission is to take and hold the summit of Hill 40. To aid you in this mission you have a Battalion of regular troops who have been fighting for possession of HIll 40 this last week, plus your more experienced mixed arms battle group.

Unofficial Notes
The previous Brigade commander was killed yesterday trying to take the hill. This wretched place is saturated with the blood of our men.  Three fresh battalions have been thrown into this meat-grinder over the last week. The shattered, exhausted survivors of the last one are dug in at the base of the hill. Don't expect much help from them.
